Survey results: Identifying clients’ needs and challenges in rare disease clinical development

Rare disease clinical research is particularly complex due to a variety of factors that influence trial design and operationalization. In 2023, the PPD clinical research business of Thermo Fisher Scientific surveyed 100 respondents who work within the rare disease sector and partner with a contract research organization (CRO). The results of the survey identify clients’ needs and the challenges they are facing in conducting rare disease clinical trials.
